About Trinzo
Trinzo is a Life Sciences Quality & Regulatory consultancy repositioning itself as the AI-first consultancy for the sector. Over the past 12 months our AI & Innovation Hub has built a recognised market voice (monthly webinars, conference speaking), a portfolio of AI projects for regulated environments, and a pipeline generating signed business with some of the world's largest MedTech and pharma companies. We are now building the internal AI systems that will become the first working instance of the approach we sell. We need a developer to build them.
The Role
You will be the AI & Innovation Hub's first dedicated developer. You will build the internal AI applications that automate Trinzo's back office and support our consultants, and you will work hands-on on AI projects for our Life Science clients.
This is an early-career role with room to grow. You report directly to the Head of Innovation, who owns the vision and sets your priorities. From September you will also be guided by our Fractional CTO / AI Architect, an experienced architect who sets the target architecture, reviews your builds and mentors you one to one. Not many early-career roles offer a greenfield build programme with senior technical guidance from day one.
What You'll Do
• Build internal AI applications: agentic workflows, meeting and documentation agents, knowledge/RAG systems, workflow automations and dashboards that let a small team run all of the company's non-billable work.
• Develop consultant-facing tools: assistants that reduce the documentation and administration overhead of our billable experts.
• Contribute to client projects: prototypes, demos and production components for AI engagements with enterprise MedTech and pharma clients, working alongside our subject-matter experts.
• Work under the AI Architect's direction: build to the target architecture and the AI Playbook, our standards for security, data handling, evaluation and model version control. Your work goes through regular architecture reviews.
• Design for non-technical operation: everything we build must be something non-technical staff can operate, configure and extend day to day. That means favouring configuration over custom code, building sensible admin screens and documenting as you go.
• Evaluate and demonstrate: test and score agents, keep lessons-learned logs, and demo your work to the team, and in time to clients.
• Support the AI project portfolio: keep the documentation, trackers and demo inputs for the AI workstreams you build on (agent portfolio, audit tooling, pilots) current and organised.
What We're Looking For
• A builder's track record: 1 to 3 years of software development experience, or a strong graduate profile with a portfolio of real working projects. Python and/or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and the modern AI stack: prompt design, RAG pipelines, agent frameworks, and an instinct for when a low-code platform or thirty lines of configuration beats a custom build.
• Microsoft 365 / Azure familiarity preferred, since our stack and our clients' stacks live there. Power Platform or similar low-code experience is a plus.
• A practical mindset: you ship working tools quickly, iterate from feedback, and are honest about what isn't working.
• A documentation habit and plain-English communication. Most of your users and colleagues are Quality & Regulatory professionals, not engineers.
• Curiosity about regulated environments (auditability, data handling, validation). No GxP experience required. We bring that; you bring the build skills and the appetite to learn.
Why This Role Is Interesting
• Real ownership, early. As the only full-time developer in a small team, you own the builds, work across every part of the business, and see how a consultancy runs from the inside. A fractional senior architect and specialist contractors are around you for guidance.
• Double impact. Everything you build internally becomes the reference implementation Trinzo sells to Life Science clients. Your work is the product demo.
• A real R&D programme. Your builds feed a national R&D grant programme creating GxP-compliant agentic AI: knowledge graphs, audit trails, validated reasoning.
• Small company, senior room. You work directly with the leadership team of a profitable, growing consultancy.
Terms
• Full-time, permanent. Based in Ireland, hybrid, with regular days on site with the team.
• Salary competitive, based on experience.
• Reports to the Head of Innovation, with technical mentoring from the Fractional CTO / AI Architect.
• Start: September 2026.
